Author Guidelines

All papers submitted to the journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The official language of the manuscript to be published in ESJ journal is English.

General Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscript Preparation

1.1 General Format

  • Articles must be written in English.
  • Manuscript length: 3000–8000 words, including references, tables, and appendices.
  • Use Times New Roman, font size 11 pt, single spacing, and A4 paper.
  • Page margins: 2.54 cm on all sides.
  • Maximum: 17 pages.
  • Save manuscript as Microsoft Word (.docx).
  1. Structure of the Article

2.1 Title

  • Maximum 16 words.
  • Use Times New Roman, align left.
  • Title should reflect the core content of the article.

2.2 Authors and Affiliations

  • Include full name(s) of author(s), followed by institution and study program.
  • Mark the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).
  • Provide email for corresponding author.

2.3 Abstract

  • 150–250 words, italicized.
  • Must include: research objectives, methodology, data analysis, and key findings.
  • Font: Times New Roman 11 pt, single spacing.

2.4 Keywords

  • Minimum three keywords that reflect the essence of the article.
  1. Main Body Structure

3.1 Introduction

  • Title in ALL CAPS, Bold, 12 pt.
  • Content: background, rationale, literature review, approach, objectives, and hypotheses (if applicable).

3.2 Method

  • Include: research design, sample and sampling techniques, instruments, procedures, analysis techniques, software used, and ethical considerations.
  • Use decimal subheadings if needed (e.g., 2.1, 2.2).

3.3 Results and Discussion

  • Present findings supported by tables, graphs, images, or figures.
  • Discuss findings sequentially based on objectives.
  • Link findings with relevant theory or past research.
  • All figures and tables must be titled (e.g., Fig. 1. ... or Table 1. ...) and integrated within the text.

3.4 Conclusion and Suggestion

  • Concise but substantive.
  • Highlight findings and provide suggestions or implications.

3.5 Acknowledgment (if any)

  • Mention funding source and grant number (if applicable).
  • Acknowledge contributions from individuals or institutions.
  1. Figures and Tables
  • Figures must be high-resolution and legible.
  • Ensure font size in figures is consistent (approx. 11 pt).
  • Tables may use smaller fonts to fit the layout but must remain readable.
  • Figures can be side-by-side if needed to save space.
  • Number equations if applicable, using consistent formatting, and refer using "equation (1)", not "eq. (1)".

  • Use APA Style (latest edition).
  • Minimum 20 references per article.
  • At least 80% from sources published within the last 5 years.
  • Use citation management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).
  • Font: Times New Roman 11 pt, normal.
