Article Publication Charge

Journal of Sustainability and Community Empowerment (JSCE) currently operates under an APC waiver policy. Authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts submitted and published in the journal during the current waiver period.

The APC waiver is provided as part of the journal's commitment to supporting the dissemination of research on sustainability, education, community engagement, and sustainable development.

Fees During the Waiver Period

During the current APC waiver period, JSCE does not charge authors for:

  • manuscript submission;
  • editorial screening;
  • peer review;
  • manuscript revision; or
  • publication of accepted articles.

The waiver applies automatically to eligible manuscripts and does not require authors to submit a separate waiver request.

Editorial Independence

The APC waiver has no influence on editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their scholarly quality, relevance to the journal's scope, originality, methodological rigor, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.

Payment or non-payment of publication fees does not affect the peer-review or editorial decision-making process.

Future APC Policy

The current APC waiver is subject to periodic review by the journal and its publisher. If an APC is introduced in the future, the applicable fee and policy will be clearly announced on the journal website before the policy takes effectand will not be applied retroactively to manuscripts already accepted under the waiver policy.
