Deposit Policy

Journal of Sustainability and Community Empowerment (JSCE) allows authors to deposit and share their manuscripts without embargo in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and other appropriate academic platforms, provided that the original publication in JSCE is properly acknowledged.

Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscripts:

1. Submitted Version (Preprint)

The version of the manuscript originally submitted to JSCE before the peer review process.

2. Accepted Version (Accepted Manuscript)

The version of the manuscript that has been peer reviewed and accepted for publication, but has not yet undergone the journal's final production, formatting, or typesetting process.

3. Published Version (Version of Record)

The final version of the article published by JSCE on its official journal website.

Permitted Deposits

Authors may deposit their manuscripts in:

  • institutional or organizational repositories;
  • subject or disciplinary repositories;
  • personal academic websites;
  • academic profiles and scholarly platforms; and
  • other appropriate repositories that support scholarly communication.

Authors may also share their manuscripts for teaching, research, academic collaboration, and other scholarly purposes.

For the Published Version, authors are encouraged to provide the complete citation and a link to the official JSCE article page or DOI.

Attribution and Licensing

Authors must acknowledge the original publication in JSCE when sharing or depositing their work.

Articles published by JSCE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Sharing and adaptation of the published version must comply with the terms of this license, including appropriate attribution and distribution of derivative works under the same license.
