Focus and Scope

Focus

Journal of Sustainability and Community Empowerment (JSCE) focuses on research that connects sustainability knowledge, contextual learning, and community action. The journal is particularly interested in how education, local knowledge, and community engagement can contribute to meaningful responses to sustainability challenges.

JSCE seeks to publish studies that move beyond identifying sustainability problems by examining how knowledge, learning, participation, capacity building, and action can contribute to sustainable development in educational and community contexts.

Scope Boundary

Manuscripts that address sustainability topics only descriptively, without a meaningful connection to education, contextual learning, community participation, or sustainability action, may fall outside the journal's scope.
