Deposit Policy

Journal of Sustainable Social Studies Education (JSSSE) allows authors to deposit and share all versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, and other non-commercial or scholarly communication platforms without embargo, provided that the original source of publication in JSSSE is properly acknowledged.

Authors retain the right to archive the following versions of their manuscripts:

1. Submitted Version (Preprint)
The version of the manuscript originally submitted to the journal before the peer review process.

2. Accepted Version (Accepted Manuscript / Postprint)
The version of the manuscript that has successfully passed peer review and has been accepted for publication, but has not yet undergone copyediting, typesetting, or final formatting by the journal.

3. Published Version (Version of Record)
The final published version of the article as it appears on the official JSSSE website.

Permitted Deposits and Uses
Authors may deposit and use these versions in the following ways:

  • on personal websites or academic profile platforms
  • on institutional or organizational repositories
  • on subject-specific or disciplinary repositories
  • for sharing with colleagues and students for teaching, training, or research purposes
  • as part of grant applications, research reports, theses or dissertations, and academic portfolios
  • for scholarly communication and non-commercial dissemination purposes

For the published version, authors are strongly encouraged to include the complete citation, journal name, DOI, and official article URL linking back to the version of record on the JSSSE website.

All articles published in JSSSE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Any sharing, redistribution, or adaptation of the published work must comply with the terms of this license, including proper attribution to the original author(s) and source, as well as distribution of derivative works under the same license.

Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s Open Access Policy and Copyright Notice to ensure compliance with JSSSE’s licensing, copyright, and self-archiving policies.
