Open Acces Policy

Journal of Sustainable Social Studies Education (JSSSE) provides immediate open access to all of its content on the principle that making scholarly research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, promotes educational innovation, and encourages the advancement of sustainable and socially responsible education.

JSSSE is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, and adapt the content for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.

All articles published in JSSSE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Under this license, users may share and adapt the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as proper attribution is provided and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors retain copyright of their published work and grant JSSSE the right of first publication. This policy supports the broad dissemination of scholarly work while ensuring proper attribution to authors and maintaining openness for derivative works under identical licensing terms.

To support editorial management, peer review, production, website maintenance, and online publishing services, JSSSE may charge an Article Processing Charge (APC). Detailed information regarding APC policies and fees is available on the journal’s Article Publication Charge page.

This open access policy is aligned with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which promotes unrestricted access to peer-reviewed scholarly research for the benefit of the global academic community.
