Open Access Policy

Open Access Policy

Equator Science Journal (ESJ) provides immediate open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

ESJ is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, and adapt the content for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.

All articles published in ESJ are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Under this license, users may share and adapt the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as proper attribution is provided and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors retain copyright of their published work and grant ESJ the right of first publication. This policy ensures broad dissemination of scholarly work while protecting proper attribution and maintaining the openness of derivative works under the same licensing terms.

To support editorial management, peer review, production, and online publishing services, ESJ may charge an Article Processing Charge (APC). Detailed APC information is available on the journal’s Article Publication Charge page.

This open access policy is aligned with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
